Find a starting point
Choose the size you usually brew, your cooktop and whether you want to compare another brand or a Bialetti model. Results are rule-based model matches, not individualized safety advice or a performance ranking.
On induction, stove compatibility takes precedence over brand preference. A smaller steel base may still be below your hob’s detection size. See the induction guide before buying.
For a small daily brew
A 3-cup moka label means small espresso-style servings, not three mugs. Bialetti publishes an approximate 130 ml brewed output for its Moka Express 3-cup; other brands should be checked against their own specifications. These are aluminum stovetop options for non-induction cooktops.
IMUSA Caribbean 3-cup, multicolor
IMUSA identifies model B120-00763 as aluminum and lists gas, electric and glass-top use. Hand wash only.

Bialetti lists its classic aluminum pot for gas, electric and ceramic hobs, but not directly for induction.

Use your normal brew amount to choose between 6-cup and 9-cup labels. Bialetti’s Moka Express chart estimates about 250 ml for its 6-cup and 410 ml for its 9-cup. These are approximate brewed volumes, not household sizes. GROSCHE says its standard aluminum MILANO 9-cup is for gas, electric, propane and glass stoves, not direct induction.
Primula Classic 6-cup, silver
Primula lists gas, electric, ceramic and propane use for the Classic series.

The linked listing is the standard aluminum nine-cup model. It is not the separate induction-ready MILANO variant.

Bialetti’s larger classic option; check whether you will routinely use a basket of this size.

Bialetti identifies Venus 4-cup and Moka Induction 6-cup as induction models. Your hob still must detect the pot’s base. The standard aluminum Moka Express, Primula Classic and GROSCHE MILANO above are different constructions; do not assume their labels imply direct induction support.
Bialetti Venus stainless steel, 4-cup
A smaller induction candidate. Bialetti says Venus is not dishwasher safe and the 2-cup Venus is not induction-capable; this link is the 4-cup variant.

A larger induction option with a different base from the standard Moka Express. Check the maker’s exact care and hob instructions.

Check the exact listing’s current price, seller, delivery charge, tax and return terms. A Bialetti, Primula, IMUSA or GROSCHE listing can change price independently; this guide does not assign permanent budget tiers. Compare any needed induction adapter and model-specific gasket separately. The cost guide has a worksheet, and the budget guide offers more models to price-check.
Special cases
Travel or camping
First confirm that a permitted heat source and a stable surface are available. Match the pot to that heat source; see our camping guide. A small pot can be convenient, but “small” is not a safety certification.
Milk drinks
Moka coffee can serve as a concentrated base for a milk drink, but a moka pot is not a pump espresso machine. See our moka latte guide. Choose capacity from how much concentrated coffee you use per drink.
Replacement parts
Check a gasket and funnel path for the exact brand and size before purchasing, especially if you plan to keep the pot for a long time. The parts guide shows the differences.
Make the final choice
- Estimate your usual concentrated-coffee volume; read the size guide rather than treating moka cups as mugs.
- Confirm the selected model works on your cooktop and that the base meets an induction hob’s minimum size, if relevant.
- Check the exact variant, seller, shipping and return terms at checkout.
- Choose the finish and construction you prefer after the functional checks.
This finder offers a starting point from published model specifications. It has not tested the products or measured which one tastes best.
Common questions
Are moka pot cup sizes full mugs?
No. Makers use small espresso-style serving units. Compare the published approximate brewed volume with the amount of concentrated coffee you normally want.
Does this finder guarantee a pot will work on my induction hob?
No. It only offers models whose maker describes induction use. Check the exact variant and your hob’s minimum detectable pan diameter before buying.
Are these results taste-test winners or the cheapest current offers?
No. Results match the selected serving size, cooktop and brand preference using published specifications. Check current price and seller at checkout; no controlled taste ranking is claimed.
